First* day of bleeding!
This is a time to slooooow down. It is a time to find quiet and listen
to your womb, intuition and inner stirrings. This is a time for deep reflection. This is a catalyzing phase, we can use this time as a tool to shift into right action, goals and relationship dynamics. At this time, we may not be able to match the pace of the external world but if we make the space for it we can emerge much stronger, nourished and ready to make of our coming month a more aligned experience.
– Moderate to light walking & gentle yoga are a great practice and ideal at this time. Therapy work is a great option. Heavy or arduous exercise is
not recommended during this phase.
– Do not start anything new, this is the best time to review what you have been working on or make an assessment of how fulfilling your close relationships are.
– At this time you can tune in from a much more objective place into the challenges, insights or new awarenesses you experienced in your pre menstrual phase. The womb is cleared away through our sacred blood and new space is made for fresh beginnings.
– Don’t wear heels. Any heel, high or low causes the pelvis to tilt from neutral. A neutral pelvis will give you the optimal pelvic strength during a time when your tender uterus is releasing and preparing for a strong month ahead.
Questions to contemplate:
– What can I allow to dissolve or let go that is not serving my highest self right now?
– How can I honor my self-worth and intentions this month?
– How can I show up even more fully and present with my loved ones?
– What new intentions do I want to create?
Sit with your womb in a 5 minute silent meditation. Ask and listen!
Supportive strategies:
– Practice forgiveness
– Review activities, goals and life through feelings and intuition rather than the mind.
– Take naps.
– Slow down, walk slower, do less.
– Eat healthy & nourishing foods.
– Let the guilt go for not working as hard, or not being able to keep up.
– Avoid making major decisions at this time.
– Tune into the “bliss” that can be accessed with greater ease at this time!
Mantra: “I allow myself to simply be, nourish and rest in my body. I forgive
myself and others and allow this energy to help me know right action and
alignment for the coming phase.”
