Somatic” is related to the BODY. It is dropping into your body into your heart space. It is activating your creative energy to allow it to FLOW. It is pulsing with this energy as your BREATH & making love to self!
– Find a private place you can be alone and set a timer for 15 minutes.
– Wear an outfit that makes you feel super comfortable, or you can even do bare.
– Turn on your favorite song and move.
– Move however your body wants to express yourself.
– Don’t look at mirrors, try to do steps you’ve seen online, or judge yourself.
– This has nothing to do with how you look and everything to do with how you feel.
– Explore what feels good to you.
– This is NOT performance. It is your unique EXPRESSION!
– Choose music you love: Do you like intense, fast songs you can swing around wildly to? Do you enjoy slow, soft songs that you can sway gently with? Do you like to shake your hips or wiggle your shoulders?
– If you feel self-conscious, it’s okay, keep going!
– Put your attention on your breath and your body and move until the timer ends.
