Without exaggerating, I confess, I am PETRIFED of DARKNESS!
Power cuts here are as frequent as AIR
I live at a place middle of a forest, on a highway, middle of DARK!
Whenever lights would go off, I used to feel
– lost
– abandoned
– imprisoned & doomed to death
– soul death
I had no one to hold on to, no hand that I could hold in the face of my biggest fears.
Until a time I BEFRIENDED DARKNESS
Darkness pushed me to :-
– BREATHE into it
– CELEBRATE it & view it as the other end of the spectrum
– Bask in it
– Get consumed by it
– Pierce my heart
– Get penenrated by it
Now when in DARK, I feel Existence
– Hug me
– hold me
– Nuture me
– Align me to my own shadows
Only when I learnt the Art of BEFRIENDING DARKNESS, did I meet kindred souls who held space for me to be absolutely vulnerable & break down without any qualms
Its so soulful to have a heart cry
Its so brave to drop barriers & be held
Its so uplifting to tune into my fears & meet them with my loving presence!!!
I celebrate you darkness coz you enabled me to APPRECIATE you as much as I glorify the LIGHT!!
I am ONE with the Light inside the Darkness
I am ONE with the Darkness beneath the Light
For the first time in my Life, I felt soooooooooooooooo supported only coz I MET MY FEARS FULLY & ALLOWED LIGHT TO PENENTRATE it!!
Can you ALLOW darkness to SHINE through you & RECOGNISE the HIDDEN GIFT!
Now when I walk in the dark on a secluded lane, I know I AM FULLY MET & ADEQUATELY SUPPORTED!!
Darkness is absence of Light
Light is presence of Dark beneath it
I now loooooovvve BOTH!!
